BONE-shaker MARROW-thon
The BONE-shaker MARROW-thon charity ride is very fortunate in that it is regularly supported by many businesses, individuals and organisations. We are extremely grateful to the following: The National Brewery Centre in Burton on Trent for allowing the BONE-shaker MARROW-thon to finish at the venue and for offering food and bar services to the riders. QPARK and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for allowing us the use of one of the hospital’s car parks as a meeting venue for the ride. Burton and South Derbyshire College (public services students and tutor Rob Weston) for supporting the ride and conducting street collections in and around Burton on the morning of the ride. Bridgnorth Bikers for their excellent marshalling and stewarding services throughout the ride and for assistance with planning before the event. Hardy Signs, Burton on Trent, has supported the BONE-shaker MARROW-thon since the beginning and always supply the advertising banners used to help promote the event. Logomotif Creative Design Limited of Birmingham for the design of the BONE-shaker MARROW-thon skeleton bike posters and for annually updating and amending the design. The Fabulous Biker Boys (Dan Sager) and Bertie Simmonds for helping to generate national publicity for the BONE- shaker MARROW-thon in many specialist motorcycle magazines online and in print. Staff from the three benefitting charities – Anthony Nolan, Cure Leukaemia and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital – for supporting and promoting the ride and for the supply of charity wristbands, T-shirts and collection buckets. The Burton Mail for supporting and promoting the ride locally and for its photographers covering the event. The team at Bleat PR (KL Associates) for supplying excellent raffle prizes. Our press and media contacts at Suzuki UK for supplying the motorcycle for the 2014 ride, Harley-Davidson for supplying the Tri-Glide trike for the 2015 ride and Mazda UK for supplying the MX5 for the 2016 ride. Many friends and family members who support the ride and assist with publicity, manning stalls and safety at the National Brewery Centre.
